I almost said "another" Philnomenal Show, but this one was extra special. From the opening Half Step to the last drop of Box of Rain, these guys were in the zone. For me, I had newfound appreciation for Mountains of the Moon (Theresa channeling 60's British folk) and Passenger, and loved the interplay on Half Step>Peggy-O, Shakedown and Eyes (great call and response between John and Larry). Thanks Z for another precious recording!

Absolutely outstanding. Some jams in there are on par with some 70's Dead shows. Keep your Lamps to Unbroken chain is flawless, perfect.

So much energy, such a great selection of tunes, all band members were fully charged and ripping it up. The jams were transendant... jazzy.. trippy... dynamically superb. you could tell they were all having fun playing too. Best show I've seen in years by far. At times John K. was so deep into the zone, you'd swear Garcia had come back to play. Thank you Z-Man for archiving this for us. Peace

So far, this is the best show they have played during this run of shows at the Capitol. But, there are still 4 more nights to look forward to!The recording quality is pretty damn good, which is surprising because the tapers are right on the floor in the middle of all the people and noise. Great job Z-man!
